Eylure x Fleur De Force Brow Define Pencil Review...

I would never have thought when I was furiously plucking my eyebrows to within an inch of their life as a 14 year old, that there would come a day when I actually wanted them back. But alas, here I am, almost 18 years later pining for the full bushy brows I once I had before I took my tweezers to them.

Get fuller lips without the Needles | PMD Kiss Lip Plumping System Review

Celebrities have a lot to answer to when it comes to beauty trends. First of all Cara Delevingne persuaded us to grow out our brows, then Kylie Jenner made the world go crazy for a plumped up pout. Five years ago, I didn't know anyone that had lip fillers, now it seems to be the absolute norm and pretty much every other person has gone under the needle in the quest for bigger lips.

August's Love Me Beauty Order...

I have to admit that my life has been pretty mundane recently, and not at all Instagram worthy. Having bought a flat a couple of months ago which needed to be completely re decorated and furnished, I have been spending most of my spare time outside of work either painting, pinning like crazy on Pinterest, or trying to squeeze in the occasional blog post. Yep, gone are the holidays, crazy nights out and brunchin,’ and instead I’ve been spending every last penny on my new little home. Priorities, eh? Saying that, I’m a firm believer that you’ve got to treat yourself now and then, and the arrival of my Love Me Beauty* order definitely cheered me up and added a little excitement to my otherwise very boring month.

Beauty | Current Favourites...

It’s been quite a while since I’ve published a favourites post, mainly because I've been struggling with the whole work/ blog/ social life balance, but also because I've been curbing my spending and holding back when it comes to splurging on beauty products. Over the past month or so, however, I have had a little spend up, as well as receiving some lovely blogger deliveries, and today's post is a round up of some of my current favourites...

Makeup | 3INA Bestsellers Review & Swatches

Finding a new makeup brand that is affordable, offers a great range of products, is cruelty free and is actually worth having in your makeup bag can seem like a bit of a tall order at times. I often find that brands either tick all of the boxes apart from affordably (all of my high end loves, I’m looking at you), or if they are affordable and cruelty free, I often only like a certain brands mascara, for example, and hate everything else in the range.

Sneak Peek | The Spectrum X Mean Girls Collection...

Last week I was lucky enough to be invited to the party for Spectrum Collection’s latest launch, Spectrum x Mean girls, which will be available to buy  at the end of August. Yep, the unicorn friendly brand has teamed up with paramount pictures to create a range of brushes and brush bags inspired by the film. In true Mean girls style, the venue- Icetank in London- was decorated with all things pink, and even Regina George would have approved of the gorgeous sweet treats, foaming cocktails, photo booth, a burn book inspired graffiti wall and of course the main event- the beautiful brushes.

Beauty | Grounded Coffee Scrub, Lip Balm, Lip Scrub and Facial Toner Review

One of the things I love most about blogging is stepping out of my comfort zone and trying out new products rather than just sticking to my favourites all the time. Although I do this to primarily create great content and keep my posts varied and interesting, it does mean that along the way that I discover new favourites (as well as the very occasional horror) and sometimes fall in love with brands not only for their products, but also their stories.

July's 'Love Me Beauty' Review

Since May I've been receiving little monthly treats through the letterbox, in the form of my Love Me Beauty* order. Dubbed 'the beauty subscription service with a difference', unlike others around, it allows you to choose which products you want to receive each month, rather than them being picked for you. Although this takes out the element of surprise, it does mean you’re guaranteed to receive only products that you want to try. A £10 monthly subscription gives you 60 credits which are redeemable against all products in their online boutique, and you can add on extra tokens as and when you like if your choices exceed 60 credits.

Battle of the Blenders- The Beauty Blender Vs The Silicone Sponge

The Beauty Blender has been one of the most (if not THE most) popular cosmetic sponges on the market for the past few years, and although there are so many dupes out there, none have managed to steal its crown. Sure, at £16 a go they are pricey, and before I had tried one I didn’t think I could justify that amount of money on a sponge (especially as it’s recommended you replace it every 3 months), but since the first use I’ve been hooked, and haven’t looked back. Yep, these tiny sponges have transformed the way I apply my makeup, and have given me the most flawless finish I've ever had.

June's 'Love Me Beauty' Review

Another month, another beauty subscription has landed on my doormat.  I recently reviewed May's Love Me Beauty order (read the post here) and a little later than anticipated, today I'll be telling you what I received in June's delivery. If you haven't read my last post or aren't familiar with Love Me Beauty*, all you need to know if that the brand works on a credit system (£10 a month gives you 60 credits which can be redeemed against all products and topped up at any time) and stock is constantly updated and includes a mix of well established and very new brands. Plus sign up for 3 or 6 months and get your box even cheaper. Keep reading as I'll also be giving you a unique discount code which gets you 20% off your first order (new customers only.)

Elegant Touch | 3 Minute Express Nails & Holiday Collection Review

If you're anything like me, you won't feel completely 'finished' without your nails being done. Even if my hair is freshly coloured, cut & styled, I've spent ages on my makeup and I'm wearing a new outfit- if my talons are chipped (or worse, bare) I just don't feel nice. Now I'm fully aware that there are much worse things in life, however for most of us girls, having our nails done make us feel professional, womanly and is little treat we look forward to once a fortnight.

Beauty | June's Glossybox Review

As one of the original beauty subscription boxes on the market, Glossyboxhas certainly earnt its stripes over the past six years when it comes to delivering 'the ultimate beauty experience' in the form of a monthly box of beauty, featuring some of the industry’s best loved brands. I’ve said it before, but for me, beauty boxes are the best way to try brands you may not have bought into before without a huge upfront cost. Plus, we all deserve a little treat now and then, right?

Fleur De Force by Eylure Brow Palette & Brow Tamer Review

When I think back to the makeup routine I had in my early twenties, my eyebrows didn’t really get much love. Sure, I tweezed them regularly to keep any strays at bay, would fill them in with a pencil on occasion, and sometimes even put a bit of vaseline on to keep them in place, but that was probably the extent of it. Back then, the emphasis was on a smoky eye, false lashes or a bold lip, and my poor brows became two ‘barely there’ (and verrry thin) arches above my eyes that left a lot to be desired. Fast forward 10 years, and forgetting to brush my brows in the morning is actually a more daunting thought than forgetting to brush my hair.

May's 'Love Me Beauty' Review

Beauty subscription boxes, they're everywhere. There's something really exciting about a monthly parcel arriving at your door filled with beauty treats, and so many brands are now getting involved that it's a great way to trial new and different products and brands to those you would normally buy. Now, as much as I love the element of surprise and not knowing what I'm going to receive every month, it can often be a bit of a lottery as to whether you will actually like or want any of the pre picked products. The average monthly subscription costs around £10, and although the products inside the box always tend to exceed this, sometimes they're not what you would pick, nor will use.

Skincare | La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo & Effaclar BB Blur Review

La Roche-Posay is a brand I've wanted to try for absolutely ages. I've spoken openly before on the blog about my battle with problem skin throughout my teens and twenties, and as a result, I prefer to use skincare that contains active ingredients, but is also suitable for delicate, reactive skin. La Roche-Posay ticks all of those boxes, so I treated myself to their anti blemish cream, and BB blur cream, and have been using both products daily for the past 10 weeks.

Beauty | Products I Will Be Re Buying

As a beauty lover, I get through a LOT of products. Whether it's new makeup, skincare, fake tan or beauty accessories, I seem to always be trying something new, and needless to say my bathroom cupboards are bursting.

I do occasionally come across the odd product that doesn't make the cut or live up to my expectations or its own hype, but the beauty market is booming at the moment, and there are so many amazing brands out there offering game changing products that it's rare I come across a really bad one. On the flip side of this, as much as I seem to like the vast majority of the products I review, I don't always buy them again. With that in mind, today's post is all about the products I have recently run out of and will be re buying, and the reasons why- to me, this gives them a really big stamp of approval as it proves I've loved them enough to use them up completely, and re buy, rather than move onto the next 'must have.'

April's Beauty Favourites

It's been a while since I've posted a 'monthly favourites' round up. I've been pretty boring when it comes to my product choices and there hasn't been anything that I've loved enough to write about up until now, but thankfully there are a few new additions to my beauty routine which have made the cut, and I'm excited to share them with you all.

My favourites for April are a mix of products I've bought myself and gifted products, but as always I only ever feature gifted products in a favourites post if I absolutely love them. The rule for me is if I like them enough to re buy them, they make the cut! I've got some skincare, haircare, makeup, and even a new teeth whitening product (and discount code) to talk about today, all of which I've been using and loving over the past few months.

Skincare | My Top Picks For Spot Prone Skin

Now don't get me wrong, I love makeup, and am always adding to my every growing collection, but I also have a real soft spot for amazing skincare as well. Having suffered with my fair share of breakouts throughout my teenage years and twenties, I guess you could say I'm always conscious of how my skin looks underneath makeup, and as a result if my skin is bad, I feel bad...No matter how much of it I'm wearing.

SkinnyTan | 7 Day Tan & After Glow Gloss Review

I'm a big believer that a good tan not only makes you look better, but can also make you feel more confident in your own skin, and apparently when it's applied correctly, can even knock few pounds off as well. Needless to say I'm a big fan!

Skinny Tan* is a brand that I only started using only about 6 months ago, and previously reviewed their Tan & Tone Oil on the blog (read the full review here, but clue: it's really good!) Last month I was lucky enough to receive a bottle of their 7 day tanner, as well as their After Glow Gloss, and couldn't wait to try it out.

Makeup | 6 Of The Best Dupes

When it comes to makeup, as much as I do love Instagrammable, high end products, I’m also a sucker for a dupe. You can’t beat discovering a product that is pretty much identical to a high end one, but a snip of the price, especially if you get through products at the rate I do. There's been some controversy recently on social media about dupes, with some higher end brands getting annoyed at our high street faves copying them, but in my eyes it's a total compliment to the popularity of the product. Plus, only a small percentage of people can afford to spend a small fortune on cosmetics, so I think it's great that more affordable brands are offering versions of our favourite 'hero products.'

Skincare | The Ordinary Review

Today's skincare review has come from another social media inspired purchase- I just can't seem to resist when it comes to hearing about much hyped products on Twitter and Instagram! Much like what happened with the Violet Voss Holy Grail palette (read more about that here) I heard that The Ordinary Skincare had taken the beauty industry by storm, and that products were flying off the shelves, so I had to get involved and bought three products from the range.

Wash & Dry Your Makeup Brushes In Seconds With StylPro

Cleaning and drying my makeup brushes has to be one of my least favourite things to do. Not only do I find the cleaning part such a long chore, but being an impatient person, I also hate waiting for them to dry. I heard about the StylPro makeup brush cleaner on social media, and didn't quite believe that it would not only wash but also DRY my brushes in seconds...So, does it actually work or is it too good to be true?!

Makeup | The *Sold Out* Violet Voss Holy Grail Eyeshadow Palette | Review & Swatches

It's crazy how much seeing or hearing about a product on social media can literally push you into buying it, and I have to say that is definitely what happened to me with the Violet Voss Holy Grail palette.

5 Reasons Why I Have a Love/ Hate Relationship With Social Media...

Today's post is a different one for me, and one I have been meaning to write for a while now. Social media has invaded our lives over the past 10 years, and is now something that consumes us, and to an extent, we can't (or at least think we can't) live without. As a blogger, I use social media platforms such as Instagram and Twitter daily, to amongst other things, help direct traffic to my blog, and although I do enjoy having a little scroll/ stalk at others pages, it does sometimes drive me mad. Today I thought I would have a little rant/ ramble about my biggest bugbears are when it comes to life online.

My Makeup Bag Essentials

I'll admit it, I can be very fickle when it comes to my makeup bag. Like most beauty bloggers (and most women in general), I probably spend far too much of my money on makeup, whether it be a new lipstick shade, a gorgeous new palette (after all, who can resist a palette?) or just the latest cult product that keeps popping up on Instagram. Despite that, there are certain products that seem to have a permanent residence in my makeup bag, and today's post is all about these, and why I love them so much.

Beauty | Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick & Perfume Review

Now I have to start this post with a disclaimer, and a shocking one at that. The products I am featuring it today's post are the first Charlotte Tilbury ones I have ever owned. Yes, I know, for a beauty blogger this absolutely unbelievable, but as much as I have a CT wish list as long as my arm, I have never got round to buying any of her products and I am ashamed to admit it. Somehow, I have managed to resist the beautiful packaging, and much hyped products up until now, but now I am officially in the club and own Nude Kate from the Hot Lips lipstick collection, and Scent of a Dream, which is quite possibly the dreamiest (excuse the pun) fragrance EVER.

The February Beauty Edit

Thank goodness it's February. Despite January being my birthday month, it is, without doubt, the toughest month of the year and I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I'm always glad to see the back of it! I’ve never understood why people start diets and resolutions in January, as getting back into routine after Christmas and New Year is a chore in itself in my eyes. With the worst month of the year behind us, and Valentine's Day just around the corner, today's post contains all the things that will get you looking and feeling amazing ahead of February 14th, whether you have a hot date, are out with the girls, or even just having a night in and a bit of a pamper.

Skincare | Herbalife Skin Review

In my ongoing quest for perfect skin, over the past 6 weeks I've been using some products from Herbalife SKIN*- a brand that promises fast results for younger, more beautiful skin. Sounds too good to be true, right? I was lucky enough to try the brands polishing citrus cleanser, firming eye gel, daily glow moisturiser and replenishing night cream, and today's post is a little round up of my thoughts on the products.

Beauty | December Favourites

I can't believe it's 2017! Breaking all the blogging rules, my first post of the year is not about my goals/ resolutions for the next 12 months, but instead is all about the products I've been loving over the past few weeks. Surprisingly, I'm not featuring any makeup this month, but do have an amazing new skincare product to tell you about, as well as some lovely other things that have made me happy throughout my favourite month of the year, December.
