Jewellery Box | My picks from the Christmas Collection

When it comes to festive jewellery, I'm not a novelty kinda gal. Yep, I may sound a bit 'bah- humbug', but wearing fake baubles in my ears is not my idea of fun, and I prefer to discreetly add the odd festive touch. Over the years I've dabbled in a LOT of costume jewellery. I used to love stacked up chunky bangles, OTT earrings and oversized rings, and although I am still partial to the odd statement necklace, my style, along with jewellery trends, have changed considerably over the past few years, and now it's all about delicate jewels.

Jewellery Box* are an online UK based jewellery company who offer 'real jewellery at costume jewellery prices,' and they have the delicate look covered completely. Alongside their already amazing range of sterling silver, 9, 18 & 14 carat gold and 9 carat rose gold and white gold jewellery, they also offer some gorgeous occasion pieces. I got my hands on an 18 carat rose gold delicate snowflake necklace and matching bracelet in sterling silver from their Christmas collection which not only cater to my love of delicate jewellery perfectly, but also add a little festive nod to my style.

I am a little bit obsessed with all things rose gold at the moment, and fell in love with the snowflake necklace the minute I saw it. The 18 inch chain is the perfect 'midi' length- it's not quite a choker, and not quite a long pendant either- and the little snowflake charm rests perfectly just underneath my collarbone. Because of the length, I definitely think you could layer it up with other necklaces, although it is equally just as gorgeous worn alone. The metal base is sterling silver, and it has been dipped in 18 carat rose gold, so I know this is not going to go green or tarnished like many other necklaces in my collection. For this quality, you would usually expect to pay a premium price, however this retails for just £6.15, which is such amazing value.

I opted for the matching bracelet but in sterling silver as I love mixing metals at the moment, and have been wearing it non stop. I'd say I have a small to average sized wrist, and the size fits mine perfectly, however unfortunately this doesn't have an extender chain which is the only downside to it. I know you can easily buy add on extenders on websites such as Amazon which aren't at all expensive so if this was too small you could easily make it bigger. Another bargain, this retails for £6.05, plus both this and the necklace have a little bit of weight to them, which also makes them feel more expensive- I tend to associate 'cheaper' jewellery with being lightweight.

Jewellery Box also offer an engraving service at an additional cost, so most pieces can be personalised, plus the packaging is so cute that these would make the perfect gift- just check out the brown paper wrapped and mini colourful pegs!

There's still time to order for pre Christmas delivery, but if the Christmas collection doesn't temp you, why not check out their main range? Prices start at around £2, and with pretty much all jewellery covered (from rings and anklets, to nose rings and earrings) AND jewellery storage on offer, Jewellery Box have something for everyone, whether you are buying for yourself, or looking for the perfect gift.
