Skincare | BRYT Makeup Remover & Foaming Cleanser Review

For the past few weeks, I've added some new additions to my daily skincare routine, in the form of this eye and makeup remover and foaming facial cleanser by BRYT Skincare. I didn't know much about the brand before I'd tried the products, however I've since learnt that they pride themselves and their products on being not only cruelty free, but also all ingredients used are ethically sourced and in most cases, organic. In addition to this, all packaging is fully recyclable and the card used for the ultra colourful and eyecatching boxes is completely biodegradable. I love trying new products, and it's always a lovely feeling to know that what you are using will not only be kind to your skin, but also to the planet. Neither of these products, nor anything else from the range, contains sulphates, parabens or GM ingredients and are completely vegan.

I've been looking for a new eye makeup remover for a while now. I'm going through a phase of using waterproof eyeliner and mascara which can be an absolute nightmare to remove, and most of the ones I've tried have left a residue behind (waking up with panda eyes seems to be a regular occurrence at the moment) or have been oil based which always leaves my eyes stinging and the area around it greasy and red. BRYT remove is a water based solution and is fragrance free meaning it is really gentle on the eye area, and is suitable for even the most sensitive of skins. One of the things I love about it is that it has a spray nozzle which is so convenient and means you rarely waste any product (why do you have to tip most makeup removers upside down to get the product out?) For best results, I pump 1-2 sprays on a cotton pad, hold it on my eye area for a few seconds, then gently sweep downwards, taking care not to drag or rub. The formula dissolves all traces of makeup with ease and the eye area feels moisturized afterwards thanks to the almond and olive oils. Although I have been mainly using this product on my eyes, it can also be used allover the face and neck to remove makeup. To do this- spray directly onto the face and then use a damp mitt or flannel- I use my BRYT on that came with my cleanser, and makeup comes off with no effort at all. The remover comes in a 100ml bottle, and retails for £11.50.

The second BRYT product I have been using is the foaming facial cleanser which I was assured would work perfectly alongside the remover. It retails for £12.99, and you get a 150ml bottle and a cleansing mitt as well. Like the remover, this is suitable for all skin types and contains the brands super antioxidant formulation that encourages skin to detoxify and exfoliate while soothing and calming. The formulation contains ingredients such as aloe vera and fruits from the Australian outback which contain up to five times more antioxidant power than blueberries- amazing, huh? After removing all makeup, I pump a small amount into the palm of my hand and apply all over my face, in circular motions, which releases all active ingredients, before removing with my damp mitt. My skin feels immediately fresh and rejuvenated, and after using it for a few weeks I am happy to say that I haven't had any of my usual breakouts- whether this is down to the product or just a coincidence I'm not sure, however the fact that they have been pretty persistent since my teens makes me think that these products are pretty darn good.

I've been really pleased with the results I've seen from the remover and cleanser, so next on my wish list is the Boost Serum which is to be applied after cleansing. It claims to be perfect for tired and dehydrated skin, and is perfect for those 'no makeup' days.

Have you tried any BRYT Skincare products?
