What's in my makeup bag | Current Favourites & New additions

I've not posted about 'what's in my makeup bag' for a while now, and being someone who is always adding new additions to it, I thought I would share some of my current favourites with you all. I'll admit it, I do always have my 'can't live without' products, such as Double Wear foundation by Estee Lauder, but I am always looking for new products that will add a different dimension to my look, or that speed up my getting ready process. Plus, if you are anything like me, you own far too many products to use on an everyday basis- I am forever finding 'old favourites' that I have stopped using for one reason or another, then fallen back in love with them. Here's whats new in my makeup bag this month...

L'Oreal Nude Magique BB Cream
I bought this 5-in-1 BB cream as an alternative to foundation for my recent holiday, and have continued to use it as a primer ever since. First, I have to highlight that it's only of those clever products that starts off looking like a normal cream, then transforms into 'skin colour' when rubbed in, which instantly evens out skin tone and gives a dewy finish. Coverage wise, it's slightly heavier than a tinted moisturiser, so perfect for holiday, or if you are someone who doesn't like heavy coverage to the skin. Now for the 5-in-1 benefits. As mentioned above it is a BB cream, foundation and primer, plus it offers 24 hour hydration and SPF12. The cream comes in 2 shades, light and medium, and retails for £9.99. I apply all over the face before foundation for a flawless base- I find that using this beforehand means I use less of my foundation, plus it makes it glide on with ease.

Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer
I've had my eyes on this much hyped concealer for a while now, and after watching so many bloggers and vloggers singing it's praises I gave in and bought it, and I have to say it doesn't disappoint. The consistency is different to any other concealer I have ever used as it's almost sticky, which I know may sound odd, but I think this texture helps it achieve it's creaseless finish. A little of this product goes a long way, but unfortunately it's in one of those annoying little tubes that if you squeeze too hard, you end up with concealer everywhere! I squeeze a small amount to the back of my hand, then use my ring finger to dab it under the eye area. I then take my concealer brush to blend the product it, ensuring that I take it down onto my cheekbone area to avoid that 'white undereye' look. Lastly, I use a damp beauty blender and dab it over the area- this helps to banish and lines. Once this is done, I 'bake 'the area using the next product...

Ben NYE Luxury Banana Powder
I picked this up whilst I was in New York earlier this year, and continually used it for a couple of months before moving onto another setting powder. That one's now run out so I'm now back to using Ben NYE, and if I'm honest I can't believe I ever stopped. This first became popular a little while ago after Kim K's makeup artist said he used it on her, and after that, the whole world, including me, rushed out to buy it. It's a universal shade which works with most skintones- I'm not olive skinned like Kim, however the yellow undertones help to neutralise any pink tones in my skin, so it's great used all over, but I love using it to set and 'bake' my under eye concealer. I take my fan brush, dip it into the powder, dust off any excess and then apply to my under eye area. After leaving it for 10 minutes, I dust off whats remaining on the skin, and my concealer will stay all day. The yellow tone really brightens the under eye area, and it also looks great dusted down the nose, on the chin and the cupid's bow.

Freedom Pro Eyeshadow Palette- Audacious 3
I purchased this pretty eyeshadow palette when Freedom Makeup first launched last year, and it has been one of my favourites ever since. Firstly, I have to mentioned the ridiculously affordable price- this 12 shade palette retails for just £4! For that price you would expect the quality to be poor, however these shadows are so pigmented and blend so well. There is a mix of matte and shimmery shades, and Freedom offer so many other colour combinations, but I love these rose gold and bronze shades which remind me of the Naked 3 palette by Urban Decay.

H&M Powder Blusher- Golden Peach
This is another product that I stopped using but am absolutely loving again. The re vamped H&M makeup range launched in the UK last year, and I have to say they have really upped their game when it comes to giving their high street rivals a run for their money in the beauty department. I picked up a few key pieces at the time, and this Nars Orgasm dupe was by far my favourite. Like the cult blusher, it has gold tones running through it which look so gorgeous when on the cheeks. The pigment is quite strong, so I ensure I tap any excess product off before applying to the face, however it goes on with ease and really blends well- there's really nothing worse than cheeks that are over blushed! The range is extensive, and offers over 20 powder shades, as well as some lovely cream blushers, as well.

Mac Lipstick- Creme Cup
I originally bought this for my makeup kit (it looks fab on Brides) however it's ended up in my personal makeup bag as my 'everyday lippy.'  One of Mac's Creamsheen shades, it is highly moisturising, and gives a wash of colour without being too heavy. I would say it's a cross between a lipstick and a gloss, and it makes a nice change from my usual heavy matte lips. This is another great product for holiday as it doesn't dry the lips out at all, plus looks great with a smoky eye as it doesn't overpower-you know the rules-  strong lips or eyes only!

Have you tried any of these products? What are your current makeup bag must haves?
