Health & Beauty | Get Healthier, Stronger teeth with REGENERATE

I was introduced to Regenerate products at a recent blogger event I attended, and after a few weeks of using their advanced toothpaste and boosting serum, I'm hooked. I'll admit it, I'm the first to claim that I think a white smile equals a healthy smile, and over the past few years have whitened my teeth to excess. They may look great, but they are over sensitive, and look thin and transparent, so this product is perfect for somebody like me.

I've always thought that once you have damaged the enamel on your teeth you can't reverse it, so I was pleased to find this product which claims to do exactly that. There are a lot of products and toothpastes on the market that claim to block sensitivity caused by enamel erosition, but there are not many that claim to actually re build it. Regenerate toothpaste and boosting serum work best in conjunction with one another (the toothpaste should be used every day and the serum for 3 days in a row once a month) and although I've only been using them for a few weeks and am yet to see and experience the full benefits, I wanted to share my thoughts on these products so far.

First up, the advanced daily toothpaste which retails at £10. As the name suggests, it is designed to be used twice daily in place of your usual toothpaste, and over time it protects and strengthens against cavities, helps restore natural whiteness, and gradually helps to re build the enamel mineral in your teeth. The great thing about this toothpaste is that it starts working from the first use, plus, after 3 days of using this alongside the boosting serum, it claims to regenerate an amazing 82% of the enamel. Pretty impressive, huh?

The boosting serum kit retails for £30, and includes the serum itself, the activator gel, 2 mouth guards, a case to keep them in and a mixing stick. Its designed to be used for 3 just minutes a day, 3 days in a row, once a month, so I imagine this will last for ages. You start by adjusting the mouth guard to fit your teeth (this is done by plunging it into boiling water for 30 seconds, then placing it in your mouth so it can mould to your teeth) then simply apply a thin layer of serum into the tray. Follow with a layer of the activator gel and mix the 2 together with the mixing stick provided, then hold in the mouth for 3 minutes. To me, this seems like such a quick and simple process- I usually take my makeup off whilst I'm waiting for the 3 minutes to be up. In that time, the enamel minerals integrate into the teeth and work their magic. This also increases the effectiveness of the toothpaste by 43%, so it is really important that you use both products together.

My verdict? My teeth certainly feel a lot fresher, but in terms of whether I think some of my enamel has been repaired after Regenerate, I have to trust the science behind it! This is not something that is immediately obvious, nor something than anyone other than a dentist would probably be able to measure, however I'm sure that my teeth look a little less transparent than they did before, plus they feel a lot less sensitive, so I will definitely be continuing to use both products over the coming months.
