Love Me Beauty | March Box

This month I received my third Love Me Beauty Box, and having previously snapped up the lovely makeup on offer, this month I would see what the online boutique had to offer in terms of skincare. Using my 60 credits (each product is 10-20 credits), I managed to get 6 products which is great considering the cost of the box is just £10 a month. Unlike other months, I didn't receive any full size products which is a shame, as previously everything I received bar one thing was full sized. Saying that, they are all the perfect size for overnight stays and don't take up too much room in your toiletries bag. One of the other things I love about LMB is that they often stock new brands that aren't that well know, or I discover brands I have not come across before. This month I opted for quite a few products by the Parisian brand Nuxe, who were established nearly 30 years ago. I kept seeing the products popping up on beauty websites so decided to choose a few bits to try out....

First up, I decided to try a new cleanser. Having used a cream based one for as long as I can remember, I thought I would mix it up a bit and try this gel one by Nuxe. It is a really gentle formula that contains no soap, and can be used to remove all makeup, including eye makeup. Tailored to dry and sensitive skin, it contains honey and sunflower so is not only super soothing on the skin, but it also smells gorgeous!

If I'm honest, toner is a product that I tend to skip in my beauty routine, especially if I am pushed for time- I often see it as a 'pointless' step, and in the past a lot of toners had left my face stinging slightly, due to the alcohol content. I decided to give this one a go as it doesn't contain alcohol, and I knew that a product that is labelled as a 'gentle toner' would not irritate my sensitive skin. It contains rose petals so smells divine, and after using it my face feels squeaky clean and refreshed.

I had to complete the Nuxe set and try one of their moisturisers as well, and I was drawn to this one as it has a lightweight formula (I cannot stand heavy moisturisers), and anti aging properties. It also gives a matte finish, which is perfect if you get oily skin like me.

I was really intrigued by this dry oil as I love a multi purpose product, and when I found out it was 'France's leading beauty oil', I couldn't wait to try it. I have never used an oil based skincare product through fear that it would clog my pores and bring me out in spots, however this one is lovely as it doesn't feel greasy at all. Being multi use, it can be used on the body, face and hair, and it not only moisturises and nourishes, but it also contains plant oils that help to repair the skin and hair. The possibilities with this product are endless- so far I have only used it on my face (I added a couple of drops to my moisturiser) and my body, however it is also supposed to be amazing for alleviating stretch marks, and even works as an intensive pre-shampoo hair treatment.

I love trying new shower gels (Imperial Leather's Marshmallow one is my current fave) and this one has a gorgeous fresh citrus smell that really lingers on the skin, and it doesn't leave my skin dry like a lot of other shower gels. A 250ml bottle of this would set you back £17 (!) so I don't think I will be re buying it, however it was nice to try a product from this gorgeous, and very popular brand.

I'd not heard of the brand Monu before and love trying new brands, so I used my last 10 credits on this hydrating mask. Designed to be used 2-3 times a week, simply apply to the face with fingertips, then leave for 10-15 minutes before rinsing with warm water, or leave overnight for a more intensive treatment. I've now used this 4 times, and each time my face is left feeling so soft and hydrated. I don't know if I would say it is necessarily better than any masks I've used before, but it is a nice product with a lovely fragrance.

  1. I've never heard of the Love Me Beauty box before, but I'm definitely going to have to look into it- despite not being full size, those are all really decent products! Usually you get one product that is a bit "meh" but they are all so good - and your photography is beautiful.

    1. Hi Debi, you should give it a try (plus I saw an amazing deal of Groupon for it the other day, I'll see if I can find the link for you!) The best thing about LMB is that you can cherrypick and choose what you want each month so you always end up with good products!! Also the last 2 boxes had ALL full size products in, so maybe it just depends on what you choose xxx
