My 'Real' Jewellery collection | Current Favourites

Despite being someone who has always loved costume jewellery (working on the jewellery buying department for River Island HQ had a bit influence on this), I decided a couple of years ago to build up a little collection of 'real jewellery.' I think growing up and wanting nicer things, paired with the fact that I was fed up of my cheap rings turning my fingers green, made me start looking in the windows of the jewellers that I had previously walked past, and lusting over the lovely things I saw. Now don't get me wrong, unfortunately my jewellery box is not spilling with diamonds, in fact most of the things I own are very affordable, but there is something lovely about having a piece of jewellery that you can keep, particularly if it has sentimental value behind it. For today's post I have picked out my current favourites...

Pandora Birthstone Bubble Rings
Yep, I jumped on the Pandora bandwagon! I love wearing these 2 rings stacked up together, and am considering getting a second birthstone ring as I love this one so much. I got it just after my nephew was born in December, and turquoise is his birthstone, so I am reminded of him every time I look at it. The silver bubble ring looks great when mixed with gold rings as it is very classic, and I also love the idea of going a couple of sizes too small and wearing it as a midi ring.

Michael Kors Tri Colour Ring
I absolutely adore this mixed metal ring which I got for my birthday last year. It's so chunky and a real statement piece- infact, I've never seen anyone else with it, and always get compliments on it. At £99 it is a little on the expensive side, especially as it doesn't have any stones in it, but I know that this is a ring that I will continue to wear for a long time. If you aren't a fan of mixed metal, I also spotted this all silver one from Beaverbrooks which is also slightly cheaper than my MK one.

OK so this is technically not jewellery, but I have wanted this watch for a while now, and after finally getting my hands on it last month I had to include it. After a lot of deliberation, I decided to go for the men's dial as it is slightly larger and I love the oversized look. The strap is a gorgeous soft black leather and it has rose gold detailing, but this style also comes with silver detailing, if you prefer. I did envisage that I would wear it with bangles stacked up on my wrist, however I actually prefer to wear it on it's own, with my bangles on the opposite wrist. I feel that it looks so great that it doesn't need anything to distract from it's loveliness!

Sticking with the rose gold theme (I just love it so much at the moment), I just had to include this stunning Links of London in my post. It has a gorgeous delicate chain which looks so dainty on the wrist, and diamonds in the centre of the disc. The picture I have taken does not do it justice at all- the diamonds catch even the smallest amount of light and are so sparkly! I wear this everyday as it goes with everything.

I love Kate Spade and I love gold jewellery, so I didn't hesitate when I treated myself to this classic gold bangle. Inscribed on the inside with the text 'Heart of Gold,' I just fell in love with it, as well as the gold trimmed purple and red box it comes in (please tell me I'm not the only one obsessed with packaging?) At less that £30, it is very affordable, and would make a lovely gift as it is timeless. I also received this enamel one for my birthday, and they look fab worn together.

  1. This is such a lovely post, they're all such beautiful pieces. I wear much jewellery at all, I have a couple of statement pieces like the above but now I want more - especially that links rose gold bracelet! x

    Charlotte | Just Charlotte

    1. Thanks Charlotte! I only ever used to wear cheap costume jewellery from Topshop which would tarnish so quickly. It's nice to have a few bits that you know will last. The links bracelet is my absolute favourite!! x

  2. You have such gorgeous jewellery! I want a Daniel Wellington watch so bad ^_^
    Great post x

    1. Hi Aliya, thanks for your comment. You should treat yourself to the DW watch, it's lovely xxx

  3. I love that rose gold bracelet, it looks so delicate and elegant. I'm not a huge fan of gold on me but rose gold is gorgeous in my opinion.

    1. Hi Sally, thanks for taking the time to read my post and leave a comment. I agree, rose gold is so beautiful, and the links of London bracelet is indeed very dainty and elegant! x

  4. You have a beautiful collection of jewellery Beth. I think that the
rose gold diamond bracelet goes really well together with your watch. Great idea to go with a men's watch to give the watch an oversized impression.
