Farfetch | Style the Shoot: Sunglasses

I'm sure I speak for everyone in the UK when I say that summer needs to hurry itself up. I am so over layers, coats and boots and I am dreaming about sandals, dresses and going out without a jacket on. Looking on the bright side, the start of spring is only a month away, so I decided to dedicate today's post to a gorgeous pair of sunglasses that I have been lusting after for a while. I spotted these Saint Laurent beauties on the Farfetch website; an online store that stocks over 400 boutiques all in one place. I decided to put together a look based around these gorgeous glasses that would be perfect for a British Spring day.

Farfetch has an AMAZING selection of designer sunglasses, but the Saint Laurent ones are my favourite as I love the statement oversized look, and being fair skinned, tortoise shell is great with my colouring. Choosing which sunglasses to go for can be a daunting prospect, particularly when there are so many shapes, sizes and lens finishes to choose from. The website has a handy little online guide to help you out, but my main advice would be to stick to a shape you know suits you. Yes, trends in sunglasses change every season, but unless you are a supermodel, it is pretty unlikely that you will be able to pull off most of them. If you're making an investment and buying designer sunglasses, I think it's so important to find a pair that are timeless and will see you through more than just one season.

As mentioned above, I love the statement oversized look when it comes to shades, and tortoiseshell suits my colouring so much better than harsh black frames. I know I will get so much wear out of these which is why they are top of my wish list. I'm going to Coachella in April and I can see these looking amazing with any festival outfits.

I fell in love with this Marni dress when I saw it on the site. I'm a big fan on Jacquard, and I love the fact that it isn't too sheer or flimsy- it looks like it has quite a good weight to it which is key when you live in England! I love the pop of colour in the centre of the dress and I know I could potentially wear this through to Autumn as well by teaming it with black tights and brogues.

A leather jacket is a staple in any wardrobe, and I adore the off centre fastening on this one by Anthony Vaccarello. I thought this would look fab draped over the jacquard dress and would give the whole look a more edgy feel.

I'm obsessed with lace up shoes, and thought that these Stuart Weitzman flats would look great with this outfit. I went for black as I thought they would sit well with the leather jacket and the print on the dress, and I can also see these looking great with coated skinny jeans and a crisp white shirt. I love the fact that these can either be worn laced up around the ankles only, or can be  extend higher up the leg if you prefer.

I couldn't resist adding the Chloe Drew bag to my look as it is such a classic, and just so gorgeous. I thought the tan colour would look best with this look as it picks out the pop of colour on the dress and also the tortoise shell on the sunglasses. I love the gold chain strap and the fact that it is a really substantial size- I cannot stand bags that you can't fit anything into!

I decided to keep accessories quite minimal with this look as I think there is already quite a lot going on, but thought this gorgeous gold penny necklace and rose gold watch would add the perfect finishing touches. I love mixing different metals together and I can see myself wearing them all summer long.

No look is complete without a slick of lipstick, and with Rebel by Mac being my current favourite, I had to include it in this look. It is one of their matte shades which means it can be quite drying on the lips and hard to apply, so my advice would be to put a small amount on the back of your hand to warm it slightly, then to use a small lip brush to apply to the lips.

I am loving the quirky online home and accessories store Coconut Lane at the moment, and fell in love with this 'Mean Girls' inspired slogan phone case. It is available for Iphone 5 or 6 and is just so Instagrammable! I thought it added a fun vibe to my look and as I am rarely seen without my phone it had to feature in this look.

I'd love to hear what is on your Farfetch wishlist, you can leave a comment below.
