A Beauty Blog...

I hadn't really ever payed attention to MUA cosmetics until recently when they launched their 'MUA Luxe' collection. The 'luxe' wording had me hooked straight away- after all it does mean expensive and high quality! I know that MUA are known for their affordable prices, so was sure that this collection would perhaps be slightly more expensive, but would in no way break the bank.

Being the blusher fanatic that I am (I won't leave the house unless my cheeks have rosy glow!) I was instantly drawn in by their gorgeous 'Whipped Velvet' blushers. I mean the name itself sells the product for it, right?? I usually go for a powder blush (Dainty by Mac being my all time fave) but I thought I would mix up my makeup routine a bit and give this a go.
I opted for 'Hedonic' as I couldn't resist it's dolly pink hues, but the range offers 4 other shades, all at the amazing price of £3. The packaging is pocket sized, and my only criticism would be that I wish the lid was attached to the product (is it just me that loses lids around here?!) The blusher itself has a mousse type texture and is almost 'springy' to the touch. On the skin it transforms into a matte veil of pink loveliness- it really is a dream to use as it goes on with such ease.
After I had applied my foundation, I used my fingertips to dot this onto the apples of my cheeks- you could also use a brush but I prefer my fingers for this type of product. Once the rest of my makeup was done I dusted a light covering of translucent powder over the area to set it and ensure it didn't budge. This lovely product gave me the pinched cheek look I always adore without being too much. I must admit I do usually pile on the blusher throughout the day but as this is a mousse, once I had set my makeup I couldn't add to it. Probably a good thing right?!
What do you think- have you tried this or any of the other MUA Luxe products? I would love to hear your feedback below.

Love, Beth xxx
